Waking Up (After Anesthesia)

Waking Up (After Anesthesia)

It’s early
the sky is dark
I have forgotten
my name

I think
of possibilities
blue skies
the touch of nouns

It will come to me
like a boat
a called animal
an ocean’s edge

Here I am
found just in time
riding my name
to the surface
