is the author of four books of poetry, most recently Abiding Time (Lynx House Press). He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Fulbright Commission and co-authored a translation of the poems of Sarat Kumar Mukhopadhyay, published as The Cat Under the Stairs.
